Alassio (SV): (40 min) is a town and comune of Liguria, Italy, on the Gulf of Genoa coast, in the province of Savona. It is mainly noticeable as a health resort in winter and a bathing-place in summer and has many hotels. The town was settled in the Middle Ages when valley inhabitants started coming down to the sea to fish. According to the legend, the name derives from that of Adelasia, daughter of Emperor Otto I. Control of the town was eventually taken by the monks from the island of Gallinara and later by the commune of Albenga.

Sanremo (IM): (30 min) is a city with about 57,000 inhabitants on the Mediterranean coast of western Liguria in north-western Italy. It was founded in Roman times and is now best known as a tourist destination on the Italian Riviera and the host of cultural events such as the Sanremo Music Festival and the Milan-Sanremo cycling classic arrival. The spelling San Remo is on all ancient maps of Liguria, the ancient Republic of Genoa, Italy in the Middle Ages, the Kingdom of Sardinia and the Kingdom of Italy. It was used in 1924 in official documents during Fascism.

Montecarlo: (1h) is one of Monaco's administrative areas, sometimes erroneously believed to be a town or the country's capital, just as Monaco-Ville. Monte Carlo, which lies in the French Riviera on the Mediterranean Sea in Monaco is surrounded by France and close to Italy. It is widely known for its casino, and its gambling. The permanent population is about 3,000. Monte Carlo quarter includes not only Monte Carlo proper where the famous Le Grand Casino is located, it also includes the neighbourhoods of Saint-Michel, Saint-Roman/Tenao, and the beach community of Larvotto. It borders the French town of Beausoleil (sometimes referred to as Monte-Carlo-Superieur for image reasons).
